Upper Market Workshop Series & Design Plan
By Abigail Kiefer
The Upper Market Workshop Series will be a three-workshop series providing a community forum to shape the future of Market Street from Octavia Blvd to Castro Street. The vision developed form these workshops will shape land use recommendations for retail uses and housing types; propose community improvements; and result in design and development proposals that will express the unique identity of the corridor and its surrounding neighborhoods.
The upcoming meetings will give community members the opportunity to drive the plan, and to provide feedback as the plan develops. Workshop #1 will engage community members and workshop participants towards the development of a common vision for the corridor. The workshop results and corresponding reports will be formalized into a Design Plan, which will convey the community’s vision and guide the use, character and design of pending development along the corridor.
All interested residents, business owners, and citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.
Community Meeting #1:
September 11, 2007
6:30-9:30 pm
