Come to the 27 March meeting!

Please join us at this month’s Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association meeting, Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 7pm. The meeting will be held at the First Baptist Church, 7 Octavia Blvd (corner of Waller).

This will be a Town Hall meeting, where everyone is invited to raise issues, make suggestions, or just hear what your neighbors’ concerns are. We will meet both as a full membership and as separate committees, so you can get a feel for what goes on in smaller groups doing more specific committee work.

There has been a lot of interest in MUNI-related items, so we have arranged for representatives from MTA to make a presentation on their Transit Effectiveness Program (TEP), with particular emphasis on the routes in and near our neighborhood (Haight St buses, Hayes St bus, Fillmore St bus, Fulton St bus, MUNI Metro, etc). This should prove very interesting.

Two of our committees, Arts, Culture and Environment and Families and Children, have been very involved in improvements to neighborhood infrastructure. They have arranged for a short presentation from the Trust for Public Land regarding neighborhood input for possible renovations to Hayes Valley Playground.

Come, hear about some topics of importance to the neighborhood, and let us know what YOU think are important issues to be addressed.
