Dear Member:

Enclosed please find the slate of Board members proposed by the Nominating committee in accordance with our bylaws. The annual meeting and election of Board members will be held on February 26, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, 7 Octavia Blvd. The meeting will start at 7pm.

The focus of the meeting will be “Hearing Our Neighbors.” We will have a Town Hall set-up where each neighbor can raise issues, make comments or give suggestions for improving the neighborhood. A representative from Verizon will also be there regarding a proposed cell-phone antenna in the neighborhood.

Besides committees focusing on remarks, we have asked City departments to attend, and we will work together to ensure each idea is properly addressed. Each of our committees will give a brief report, and committees will also convene to discuss their upcoming agendas. Members are encouraged to participate.

An obviously important portion of the meeting will be the election of the Board for this year. Please review the slate the Nominating committee has prepared, come to the meeting and help elect a Board to work for our wonderful neighborhood. The enclosed slate was unanimously selected at our final Nominating committee meeting after outreach efforts that began last year, and we feel it well represents this very diverse neighborhood.
