babies and Patricia's Green
babies, a long time and dedicated small business in Hayes Valley, wants to help in keeping Patricia’s Green clean. Now in its third location (all in Hayes Valley) at 526 Hayes St, babies is a pet store. The owner, Michael Cunningham, wants to donate free doggie clean up bags for dog owners to use. Easier said then done!! babies needs to get approval from the Rec and Park Dept to be able to donate the bags.
Jim Wheeler is the Rec and Park person overseeing parks in this area, including Patricia’s Green. We know Jim from his attendance at several community meetings and he seems to interested in the offer of free doggie clean up bags. babies has been working with Rec and Park, and Jim, but the bureaucracy is more extensive than first thought. A resident or merchant, like babies, cannot just place free items in our city’s parks. But, if you see a sudden surge of bags, you can credit babies, at 526 Hayes St, with overcoming the bureaucracy.
