Join the John Muir Elementary PTA, and become of a part of a community that is empowering its families to participate in their children's education.

The John Muir Elementary School PTA was founded on August 24, 2006 by a group of community members and has been steadily growing ever since.  The membership is comprised of parents, teachers, the principal and many people from the surrounding community.  You don’t have to have a child in school to belong; you just have to care about our neighborhood school and our neighborhood kids!  The PTA meets monthly at the school, and all are encouraged to get involved.  

We have been involved in projects such as painting the interior of the school, landscaping, Walk to School Day and many others, including of course, raising money. With the support of many individuals and groups, including San Francisco School Volunteers, Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association, Lower Haight Neighborhood Organization, Hayes Valley Community Partners, California PUC and others, we are making a difference.

The John Muir PTA is a 501(c)3 non-profit, and all contributions are deductible to the extent allowed by law.  Membership in the PTA is $5/year, although amounts of any kind are welcome.
